Although it is estimated that the city was founded by the Medes around 600 BC, the discovery of Phrygian inscriptions during the 2003 excavation season also indicates that the city may have been a Phrygian settlement. The city walls, which are approximately 7 km long, form a 2.5 square km residential area. It is thought that the city recorded as Pteria in ancient sources is here. Then we see Kerkenes Sülük Lake, which is the subject of legends. According to the legend; when Battal Gazi conquered Kerkenes Castle, his horse's legs were broken and injured near the castle. Battal Gazi dismounts and releases him. The horse reaches a pond with leeches in it. While drinking water, leeches stick to their feet and suck the dirty blood, and the horse's foot heals. Alacahöyük, which is one of the ancient mounds of great historical importance, with a length of 310 m, a width of 277 m, and a height of 20 m and used as a migration and invasion route from ancient times to recent times, on the east-west road, dates back thousands of years and dates back to this period. It is a magnificent work, a cluster of cities, showing how many civilizations were born and sunk in the surrounding area. According to the findings of archaeologists in Alacahöyük after 100 years of excavations, traces of four cultural ages were found in the mound, from the bottom to the top. Each age is divided into building levels, starting from the foundation and reaching the top of the mound. Each floor consists of works such as palaces, temples, squares, castle walls and city houses of that era. Wounds of skin tissue that are irritated or formed from any infection; Skin diseases such as eczema, purulent pimples and even "Psoriasis", which are known to be impossible to treat in medicine, are cured by fish such as Cyprinion Macrostamus (Beni Fish) and Garra rufa (Oily Fish) from the Cyprinide (Carp) family, with a size of 2-10 cm, and their traces disappear. It has been reported that water is beneficial in rheumatic diseases, neurological (neuralgia, neuritis, paralysis), orthopedic and traumatological sequelae (fractures, joint trauma and muscle diseases), gynecological problems (with lavage), skin diseases, kidney stones (by drinking) and psychosomatic disorders.
